Innovation Program

The BO Foundation is committed to the elimination of extreme poverty through the reduction of youth and woman unemployment and the achievement of equal pay for equal value by promoting decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and improving equitable access to knowledge and training, financial services, markets, and opportunities.

The main objectives of our Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program are:
- Promote and engage in activities, events, and projects that reduce the proportion of the population, especially amongst women and youth, living below the poverty line
- Promote and engage in activities, events, and projects that reduce unemployment among women and young adults
- Promote and engage in activities, events, and projects that improve agricultural productivity
- Encourage the formation and formalization of macro, small, and medium sized enterprises, especially those that are owned and run by women

How BO Foundation Helps

Through its sponsorship of the West African Entrepreneurship and Innovation Foundation, which was co-founded by its Chairman and Founder, the BO Foundation has supported the careers of over 1,500 young Africans in at least half a dozen countries including Mali, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Togo, and Niger just to name a few, by providing different types of vocational training, and training in general entrepreneurship and innovation strategies. With the recent rise of internally displaced people the BO Foundation is now focusing on vocational training and employment opportunities for women. We will be implementing projects that create businesses in the following sectors:

  • Agribusiness, agrivoltaics, and sustainable farming

  • Waste management

  • Plastics recycling

  • Clothing and textiles

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Landscaping
